is also a scenic place nearby amidst tea garden and rate beauty of
rolling stones from hills and river. It is situated besides the river
mari in the lap of hill area Khashia. It is border area between
Bangladesh and the Indian state Meghalaya. The attraction of tourist are
collection of rolling stones, colorful tribal life, khasia king's
place, tea garden, orange groves, betel leaf and tamabil. Its another

from sylhet early in the morning so that you can come back by evening

visit the Madhabkunda waterfall is also attractive tourism spot in
sylhet division. Madhabkunda you will see a great water-falls of million
tons of water from 200ft height. Big border of stones and the black
stones are giving a sharp of care. There is also a district council
Bunglow for night stay. You can enjoy here adventurous feelings to stay
in jungle. The sylhet valley is formed by a beautiful, winding pairs of
rivers named the Surma and Kushiara both of which are fed by
innumerable hill streams from the north and the south. During the winter
season these horas are vast stretches of green land, but in the rainy
seasons the these turn into turbulent seas. In 1303 the great Saint Hazrat Shah Jalal
came to Sylhet from Delhi with a band of 360 disciples to preach Islam
and defeated the Raja Goru Gobindu. Thus Sylhet become a district of
saint. The tea garden of sylhet not only has 150 tea gardens but also
proudly possesses three largest garden in the world in both area and
production.

The Sylhet district was establish on 03 January 1782. Sylhet was under
the jurisdiction of Dhaka vision. On 01 August 1995 Sylhet was declared
as the 6th division of the country. There are 11 Upazilas, 2
Municipalities, 37 words, 233 Mahallas, 98 Union parishads, 1693 Mouzas
and 3249 Villages in Sylhet.
